Artist's Description

This Vacaville California Fireman reaches to pull out the fence boards that went through the “WINDSHIELD OF THIS SUV” when it cariened out of control and plowed through my next door neighbors fence into his back yard. When I was in the front yard taking photos, a Vacaville Police officer asked me to stand over by the driveway so the rescue workers could get by. Well, what that officer didn’t know, was that I know how to get into the backyard, where there were no policemen telling me where to stand. I was shooting into the sun somewhat, so my videos that I took, weren’t that great. I haven’t shot much video with my Canon EOS 60D, yet, but it works great on stills. I guess I will shoot more video as I learn more about the camera’s functions. The Canon 18-135mm AF IS telephoto lens that I was using, does a great job keeping my shakey hands, still. I still haven’t figured out how this driver put his SUV, 45 feet off the street that runs perpendicular to this fence and house. The driver just missed the gas meter and pipes of Scott’s house. One more inch, just one, and the SUV would have hit the meter and that could have caused a gas leak with an explosion. Thank you to the Vacaville California, United States, Firefighters and Paramedics, for helping when they were needed. The driver of the SUV was hauled off on a stretcher and the story didn’t even make it into the local paper.
9/23/2011 UPDATE: The driver of this SUV was able to come over to Scott’s house yesterday and appologize to Scott for driving through his fence. We thought he might have had a seizure or something like that. But, actually he said “I looked up and saw a woman crossing the street in front of me and I turned the wheel hard left,,then I guess I hit the gas pedal instead of the break pedal and that’s all I remember”,,,“HENCE, TRUCK IN FENCE”. Gee, maybe I should change the title. lol actually I just extended the title. I was just looking at the photo of this shot and I also noticed a fish swimming across the windshield with his mouth open like he is going to eat that 4×4 and I can see a lobster under the fireman’s left forearm. The fish is made up of one shadow, one depressed section of the windshield and the tail is shattered and reflecting light right above the passenger side windshield wiper. Does anybody else see that or am I the only one that’s nuts? lol
