Artist's Description

THIS J-5 WAS SITTING IN A DISPLAY AT PIMA AIR MUSEUM IN ARIZONA. I USED TO DRIVE SEMI TRUCK ACROSS COUNTRY AND I GOT TO SEE A LOT OF PLACES, AND NOT GET TO SEE LOTS OF PLACES TOO, BECAUSE I WAS ALWAYS DRIVING. ANYWAY, THIS CESSNA J-5 WAS IN PRESTENE CONDITION ALONG SIDE SOME OTHER VERY INTERESTING PIECES OF HISTORY. IN WORLD WAR II, THIS LITTLE PLANE WAS USED FOR RECONOSENSE, ARTILLARY SPOTTING AND ANY OTHER NEED THE ARMY COULD USE IT FOR, EVEN TRANSPORTING GENERALS INTO FRONT LINE SITUATIONS AND TAKING THEM BACK OUT AS WELL, HOPEFULLY. THIS SHOT WAS TAKEN IN 1982 WITH A CANON F-1, THE LENS WAS A CANON 50MM, WITH KODAK 100ASA COLOR FILM. I SCANNED THE 3X5 INTO MY COMPUTER AND ENHANCED THE PHOTO WITH POSTER EDGED AND A SLIGHT CROPPING.
