Artist's Description

The view north from Torr Head, Northern Ireland towards Fair Head with Rathlin Island in the far distance. Torr Head is 6.6 miles from Cushendun and was important in the 1800s for recording the passage of transatlantic ships with the information being relayed to Lloyds of London. Also on the headland are the walls and ruins of Altagore cashel which date back to the sixth century.
