Back street of Newtown taken from inside a car in the rain – the effect of the water running down the window can be see, rather like a mirage, though the water itself cannot be seen. I think it softens this image even further.

Beautiful range of colours, … lovely fluid texture…. wonderful rainy cityscene :)
Thanks, liljo…I love the rain!
Great texture and subtle colors, flowing!
Thanks, Pamela. I increased the saturation a little to bring out the colour more.
Such a beautiful, emotive image that captures the cohesiveness of the inner city before capitalism and gentrification ruined it. Brilliant work.
You know, that is so true. The cost of living here just goes up and up – the days of cheap city living are as good as over and with it much of the interest of the inner-city – because the interesting people and places are less able to afford the costs. We just end up with more shops. Thanks and glad you like the pic!
elevated to my Favourite favourite!
Really?? Thank you so much – I am glad you like it that much!!
.. Yes it has a presence … it makes the viewer ponder what is behind the windows…. Nice work again Smalls
Fabulous effect, well spotted!!
Thank you, Colin! Just a moment in time…then we drove off.
