I think I’m using effects more effectively, now.

At first the novelty makes one like the garish productions but it always comes down to the composition of the photo. Effects as simple as contrast or grayscale can turn an ordinary picture into something more special. Sometimes you want so much for a picture but you can’t deliver on it. Even though the subject may be wonderful, the composition good, it still lacks something to take it to that next level. Sometimes, effects can do that. Sometimes even that doesn’t work. It’s frustrating when you feel that a good photo has gone to waste.
