The State Library treasures WA stories, champions literacy, learning, and creative ideas and supports the public library network.

The State Library of Western Australia is a highly valued cultural destination visited by 1.2 million people a year and a similar number access our free online services. The Library enriches the lives of all Western Australians by treasuring their stories, building, preserving and sharing physical and digital collections for education and recreation, while reflecting the State’s rich heritage, diversity and history.

The State Library connects people and ideas by creating collections and making them available. Treasured pictures from the State Library collection are now available to purchase as unique gifts from Redbubble. Highlights include a fantastic series of WA Wildflower paintings by Edith Ann Hobbs, old soft drink labels from deceased Perth company Mackay & Co, and many new and old photographs of Perth and Western Australia – including our very own library building!

The Library’s historical collection items are featured on notebooks, laptop covers, phone cases, scarves, t-shirts, dresses, mugs and many more products. Browse all our products by clicking the ‘Shop’ heading above, or explore the individual collections we have highlighted on the right.
