Bark

Oh full moon,
how I wish to howl upon;
I will meet the darkness soon
just as soon as bright day comes.
The tides within my life controlled
The kindly night that which I know;
Oh full moon,
how I should howl.

Oh full moon,
my howling’s called;
light the path
that I should crawl.
Like the raptures,
all appalled,
the bright day strikes
and so I fall.

In the pit of my despair,
sun beams do not reach down there;
So the moon illuminates,
oh full moon, you’ve sealed my fate.

Oh full moon,
I howl too late.
