Ralph has a hard time convincing Ethel that she really is beautiful, no matter how heartfelt are his constant compliments, nor how many Prince’s disguised as frogs she’s constantly fighting off, nor his “beauty is in the eyes of the beholder” platitudes.
Personally, I think Ethel is a real natural cutie, and quite beautiful, in her own particularly amphibious way.
Digital painting using the ArtRage program with acrylic, palette knife and pencil tools.

Poor Ethel, perhaps she should go to counselling to deal with her self esteem issues. She is definitely a natural beauty, perhaps a little slippery though!!! Ralph seems a caring, sharing, loving kind of guy. He has nice eyes! This is a lovely tender moment between frogs.
Lol, thanks Jodie…always much appreciated. And Ralph was meant to be semi-autobiographical…hehehe…though I’m not slippery…and my eyes are blue :)))
Oh, so fantastic!
Thanks again Carolyn, very much appreciated

Thanks Nanagahma. Had almost as much fun with the story as I did painting it :) Much appreciated
So cute and I can identify with Ethel. My husband always tells me I am beautiful and I’m glad he thinks I am. I just haven’t thought I’m very pretty since I hit 50. Maybe Ethel is feeling a little old.lol. Great colors and composition and cute story……….Susan
Thanks again Susan, very much appreciated…and everyone (and frog) is beautiful in their own way, or at least that’s what I keep trying to convince myself! lol Not always easy, especially first thing in the morning…hehe
Congratulations from your hosts at Art At Its Best!
