Kris

My words are so few
For I’m still numb inside
What’s done has been done
Few words can describe

But there is friend of mine
Quite a gentle man
Who stayed just a while
And then left us again.

Such is a whooshing star
Which in a moment is shone
One second it’s right here
And in another quite gone

So our memories remain
While there is little to show
And our lives move along
As all come and then go.

Yet all of us agree
Your life’s not in vain
You touched each of us all
To be the same not again

And as ships often pass
So quiet in the night
Fortune it was ours
That we saw your bright light.

And In this year just past
You went through so much
Your moment in time
Seemed to do life so tough

For all get skinned knees
And a heart break or two
But with a shoulder nearby
The hurts seem so few.

We will cherish those times
Sharing the good and the bad
Our hopes and our dreams
Days happy and days sad

And rich are our lives
And rich they’ll remain
Each touched now for good
To be the same not again.

So in God’s loving arms
Now for you we pray
That we will see you again
That you have found your way

Because new is your beginning
And it’s not the end
It’s just goodbye for now
So wait there my friend

In time we’ll meet again
In time we will ascend
Take care now you are safe
Sleep well my good friend.
