Crumbling Foundations

She slips on spilled tears
And rolls around on the carcasses of past lovers
Licking the mold from trampled surfaces

A one winged angel trying to annunciate
Tattered words while hanging from a short noose

She draws circles in the dust
Hoping to find her own reconnection
To a beautifully dizzy life cycle

Amber rain collected in tortes shell bowls
Candles hiss at the watery drops
That fall from fingers pointed in shame

Rose painted whispers flow down porcine drains
Sun bleached notions remain untouched

Potent liquids pour from each dead vain
With a straw she sips each rainbow puddle
Leaving no remedy to waste

Each depressant decorates her crown of oblivion
And her rein of misfortune continues threw dreamy illusions
Building rusty brick walls for heavenly restriction

This one winged angel banned from bossy blue skies
Grounded from pedestals of self reliance and soft security
Trying to build new foundations from yesterdays ashes
