My new portfolio

Hi followers and visitors.

If you are sitting at home. are bored at work or generally need something stimulating to look at then please have a gander at my brand new portfolio site.

I’m on a journey of exploration looking at new ways to get my work out there and earn my way in the world and this is a new starting point.

If you have questions or want to give me some feedback then I would really appreciate it.
Also if I can help with anything you want designed then please get in touch.

Cycling 100 miles for Wellchild

Hi all,

This year I am riding 100 miles for Wellchild on the 31st of July in London at the Prudential Ride100.

To help support my charity I am donating all my profits this month to my fundraising drive.

Anything you buy in July will generate funds to help improve the lives of seriously ill children in the UK, so please get shopping!

If you want to donate direct and sponsor my ride then I would very much appreciate it.
You can donate here

Here’s my trusty bike for the event. A 1981 Viscount 600EX. No carbon fibre or space age tech in my ride, just aerospace steel and my legs.

Wish me luck!

More speed drawing and heaps of new designs

I’ve not posted any chit chat for a while simply because I’ve been focused firstly on creating new and exciting designs and the other reason is that small annoyance known as a day job (sigh). Anyway if you follow what I’m doing at all then you might know that I’ve been more than a bit busy posting new work in spite of all life’s little distractions.…

So head on over to my portfolio and you can have a butchers at a range of work that have appeared in the very recent present. Such works as the 3 below which I am particularly happy with.

This was my first effort at making my huge archive of photos work for me. Makes me think of going clubbing. This style of image is called a polyscape. Youtube that term and you can find out how to make your very own.

Finally I’ve created a speed drawing video of my design process.

100 Miles for Charity

Hi All,…

It’s been a little while since I posted here for more than a few reasons.
Work, an 11 month old baby an impending charity cycle ride, commercial projects and so on. As a result my heads been a place of many designs but no time to put them down on paper and the ones on paper haven’t made it on to the computer. So many designs and so little time! Excuses, excuses, ha ha!

Anyway I write today to enlist your help with my fund rising appeal. On August 2nd I will be taking part in the London Ride 100 in aid of Unicef. The Ride 100 is the largest closed road cycling event in Europe and will see me traveling 100 miles in one sitting on my vintage bike from the 80s. No carbon fibre here!

I have a £600 fundraising target to hit by the end of the month and would hugely appreciate anything you

I nearly missed April

That’s was a close one I nearly didn’t post anything in April.
Personally I blame a bout of conjunctivitis followed immediately by tonsillitis.
It was tough for a bit but I pulled through, lol.

Even though productivity was down I did get a few things done and I am progressing with some new and old sketches. Keep your fingers crossed for a flurry of activity in the coming weeks!

If you’re bored then follow me on instagram.
I sometimes take pictures of my lunch but the rest is pure gold I promise.

The last thing I have to offer is a video I made recently. I’m striving to make use of, and improve my video editing skills as well as use my GoPro. This video shows how my good friends at Cantina Carnitas roll a proper burrito. Om nom nom.

March update

Hello my silent audience (and Ted). Its been a little too long since I last posted but I am keeping to once a month so my new years resolution is intact, (for now).…

I’ve been working hard in my evenings to keep the art flowing over the cold winter months and have a few new things to share.
Firstly I have at last found a good use for all the photos I take in the form of photographic designs. They are relatively fast to produce when compared to vector artwork and look like they belong to a completely different genre.
Below are images from of radar array in Malta and a view from a gothic tower in Scotland. The more of these I make the better I’d say. They make nice images for use on the home décor items and even though I’m not a big fan of the product, leggings too.

Other new designs include

February update

In keeping with my attempts to post regularly, here is my February update.…

So I have some new designs on the go at the moment. This time I am working on cartoons and tanks. Some time ago I had a tank design that I did on a whim that sold well (much to my surprise) leading me to think I should revisit this area. I’ve also taken to doing lots more hand drawings and trying to make my latest work more entertaining.
Enter The Dogs of War!

These are just sketches at the moment but will soon be polished designs.

Next and unrelated to design this turned up at my door. Although it says I didn’t make the ballet I have my charity place to ride 100 miles this summer.
The organisers have really made me feel like doing it with a rain soaked bloke on the front, At some point I have to put down my pencils

Start as you mean to go on

So I said I would post more often to keep the world up to date (not that anyone reads this, lol)
Putting pessimism aside however I have been busy over the Christmas and new year period. 4 new designs have been posted with a fair few more in development. After a complete refresh in the summer I am building back the content to what I hope will amount to a much high quality of work.
Check out my latest designs below. 2 new items for the Aircraft fans as well as the rebirth of some design that were previously only available as phone cases. I particularly love the duvet sets. I’m certain they would fly out the door in one of those boutique shops there are so many of on the high-street these days.…

In other news the classic bike project in the guise of Siegeworks cycles is coming along nicel

New years resolution

I think I need to make more of an effort with my design journal. I left it 10 months since the last update and 8 before that. I have had a daughter since my last post so I guess that might fly as an excuse!…

Riding fur ya life in this sketch derived design. There will be at least 3 more of these in the new year with different characters.

I’m going to do lots of cycling themed designs in the coming months just like this one.

In other news I am building vintage bikes for sale and riding 100 miles in aid of Unicef next summer so please follow me on facebook for regular bike building pics as well as arty updates. Click here
