Artist's Description

Mandala Om Mani Padme Hum
(Brief explanation) Om Mani Padme Hum is a 6 syllabled Sanskrit Mantra most often associated with the 4-armed Shadakshari form of Avalokiteshvara. It is commonly carved onto rocks or written on paper which is inserted into prayer wheels, said to increase the mantra’s effects.
In the Chenrezig Sadhana, Tsangsar Tulku Rinpoche expands upon the mantra’s meaning, taking its six syllables to represent the purification of the 6 realms of existence, to include 6 color vibrations associated with each syllable of the mantra:

Syllable Colour Purifies

Om White Pride / Ego
Ma Green Jealousy / Lust (for entertainment)
Ni Yellow Passion / Desire
Pad Blue Ignorance/ Prejudice
Me Red Poverty / Possessiveness
Hum Black Aggression / Hatred

The six syllables of this mantra activate energies for transforming the debris within your Aura into a purified force. The reciting of the mantra balance emotions and assists in healing the body.
