“One day, when I grow up I would like to tell stories, with pictures.”

When I was five years old I would steal my mothers fashion magazines and glue segments of the pages onto most of my humble belongings. These Collages made me feel like I was a part of the images in some way. I have always found it fascinating to explore and find out why things are the way they are. I loved the peculiar, the dramatically beautiful and also sometimes even the strange realities confined within imagery. As a grown up, I often wonder where my fear of imperfection and my inability to play has come from, and I remember that, once a upon a time….

At the impressionable age of seven, and me not owning any posters of Kylie, I decided to create an installation using my odd socks, by hanging them around my bunk bed. Unfortunately my hippy room mates at the kids commune did not think this was very cool. From then on I stupidly wore my heart on my sleeve, and my socks on my feet.

Sometimes It is difficult being creative because people always judge. I would love to keep on taking photographs . It really feels like I have just woken up and want to be creative in all aspects, from day to day. I just want to see where photography can take me. Hopefully on some adventures!
Love shiks.Enjoy.
