Artist's Description

Taken at Mount Barney View Road with Mount Maroon, Barney and Lindsay behind me near Mount Barney National Park, Queensland, Australia sometime after sunrise with a Canon 60D, Sigma 10-20 lens and Lee Grads.

Mount Barney is a vivid childhood memory of mine as friends of ours own property in the area. I remembered heading into the Mount Barney National Park yelling “GRID!” every time we went over a cattle grid before swimming in the cool, fresh creeks alongside the main dirt road leading into the Park. We would make damns and try to stop the water from flowing downstream and swim in a giant pool overshadowed by a huge boulder. Ahhh memories! It was a nostalgic event to be back and I knew the area like the back of my hand, even though I hadn’t been there in many, many years and never actually drove there myself.

I hope to venture here again soon and explore a little further!
