It's Raining

It’s raining to-day,
What a glorious sight.
A beautiful thing,
For the farmers plight.
Year after year,
Watching the crops die.
The paddocks now bare,
Where there once was rye.

It’s raining to-day,
What a beautiful thing.
A sight to behold,
Such joy to bring.
Plowing to do,
And seeds to sow.
Watching and waiting,
For the crops to grow.

It’s raining to-day,
Hope the drought has broke.
Bring joy to the farmers,
Ease that heavy yoke.
The parched dry land,
Now moist and wet.
Praying for more,
And the best harvest yet.
