Your Demons

I breath you in
And feel you caress me
Fingertips of fire
Passions so free
I fight the urge to think
Of past hurts and wrongs
And beg myself to swim
In the desires my heart longs
I push away the tears
That make me feel alone
The moments in my mind
That you will not atone
All I’ve ever done
Is love you more than me
Your demons rear themselves
And will not let you be
I close my eyes to this
And shove away the pain
So I can feel your love
No matter any rain
Your rhythm is a gift
And soothes my subtle fear
It lets me know you need me
That you want me to be near
The words you often speak
Ring loudly in my mind
But my heart is louder
Wanting us to find
A way to let past hurts
Lie simply at our feet
So I can loose myself
In your amazing heat
