The Quilt Downunder Auction, supporting the Breast Cancer Support Network

Hi all,

I thought this may be of interest to many people on Red Bubble.

A friend of mine has been involved in organising the 2010 QuiltDownunder auction, which is an exhibition and auction of handmade quilts, held in Lilydale, Victoria, Australia. This event takes place next month (Oct 11-16), culminating in a dinner auction on Saturday Oct 16. It is very rare for handmade quilts to be available for sale, and would interest anyone looking for a special gift, or just a treat for themselves. You can make pre-bids (either in person at the exhibition or online), or come to the dinner and join in the live auction.

The quilts are all online now at The Quilt Downunder , so you can browse and see if anything interests you. There are some amazing quilts on display, check them out. Just remember to check out the size – these donated quilts vary from wall-hangings to cot quilts, lap quilts right through to large queen size bed quilts.

Funds raised go to the Breast Cancer Support Network.
