Artist's Description

Sir Aubrey Granthorpe, c. 1813

Here is a gentleman prepared for making calls or visiting his clubs in a dark-coloured tailcoat of Bath superfine cloth with pantaloons tucked into his Hessian boots. An intricately-tied neckcloth, a sleek walking stick and a curly-brimmed beaver hat complete his costume. He is carrying a posy of flowers for the lady of his choice.

The original fashion illustration by Shakoriel was drawn and digitally painted with reference to 19th-century sources for historical accuracy.

Available as prints, posters, greeting cards, postcards, stickers, shirts & cases. Perfect for the Jane Austen fan ♥
