My Favourite Female Instagram Makers

I love love love Instagram because it makes it so easy to find amazing makers and creators. I have discovered so many, but I know there are many more to discover. I’m going to share with you four of my favourite female makers. You may already know about them but if you don’t make sure you check them out.

Camila Prada

If you don’t know already, I’m going to tell you now Camila Prada is awesome! She is a ceramics artist based in the Potteries (Staffordshire, England). Her ceramics are both useful and hugely fun. Camila creates storage jars, plates, mugs, sugar shakers and salt and pepper shakers in a range of different characters. You can have Maurice, Margot and Babie or Panda, Owl, Tiger and Fox. She updates her graphics for each collection and season so you will always find something familiar but different.

Camila’s work is very popular and sells quickly so if you want to purchase her work make sure you follow her on her social media to find out when her shop is open. Remember though you will have to be quick.

Betsy Makes

There may be a bit of bias when it comes to Betsy Makes because Sam is my aunt but she is hugely talented and the products she creates are beautiful.

Sam is a seamstress, blogger and crocheter. Her work is always so neat and the quality is outstanding. She has recently started creating podcasts on youtube and has written a successful blog for many years. Sam’s style is very homely and her colour combinations are lovely. She sells some of her work on Etsy and if you follow her on social media she will let you know when she is filling up her store.

Katie Robbins

If you like the beach and anything coastal inspired then you will love Katie’s work. Katie lives in Birmingham which isn’t coastal at all but manages to bring the beach to our homes with her ceramics. I love her work, I have a heart plate that I use as a spoon rest and my mum has one too along with come coastal bowels and a vase.

Her ceramics are simple, modern and stunning. She works with a simple colour palette of blue, green, grey, white and now pink. Katie’s social media accounts are filled with stunning thoughtfully styled pictures that are a pleasure to see.

Louise McAllan

Louise is an artist, crocheter and knitter that I admire a lot, Her crochet work is delicate, beautiful and fun. It can be found under Little School of Wool on social media.

Louise’s artwork is constantly developing which is a pleasure to see. She introduced me to the 28 Drawings later: Feb drawing challenge which is a lot of fun to do. If you are an artist come and join me and Lou next February. Like me Louise draws a lot of nature but her drawings are far more delicate and simplified which I love. Unlike me Louise has started to dabble in calligraphy and she is pretty good. Louise has a lot to offer this world and she gets better and better all the time.
