I am but a tiny spec, a molecule of air
I drift around quite helplessly as though I have no care
I get pushed and pulled and blown all about with no control at all
every once and a while I find time to play by landing on a ball
I don’t know the reasoning for my existance for I have no brain
I do know it’s quite abrupt getting run over by a train
But it never seems to end, this warped existance of mine
It seems I power a great deal of life for everything must breathe
If only I could find a way to pack up my things and leave
Maybe take a trip into a place so far
it seems that I have been every where
a school, a church, a bar
I’ll hitch a ride on a vessel headed deep into space
Maybe that could be a new exciting place
I hear that I am needed in a place such as that
I’ll grab my coat and scarve don’t think I’ll need a hat
I’m ready now for my journey let’s fire up the rocket
Oh crap I forgot, there’s something in my pocket
I wonder if they would really mind if I took this with me
A cup that was my mothers and a final bag of tea
I hold on tight as the capsule flies heading stright up for the star
I’ll bet my mom never realized I’d make it up this far
the pressure’s not quite as bad I think its time for tea
I pull the cup out of my pocket in anticipation
but wait it seems somethings missing there’s no parcipitaion
So here I am drifting about with nothing to my name
it’s getting hard to breath I guess I’m to blame
I never thought there would be a place where I would feel excluded
but here I am in outer space the need for me I’ve eluded.
