Old Glory

Old Glory

We turn to you in our time of need
To give us support as our loved ones bleed
Like many before who have given their life
This act of coward ness we’ll not take in strife

Our fathers before us and theirs before them
Have battled in conflict again and again
They’ve insured our freedom they’ve given us rights
In honor of them we fly you in lights

You are the symbol for which we all stand
This I am sure was our forefather’s plan
We fly you with honor we fly you with pride
These colors don’t run we know this inside

We are the Americans United we stand
We will all pull together and lend a hand
For anyone who dares to test our will
They my friend must pay the bill

This act of terrorism has stricken our heart
Yet old Glory still flies we’ll make a new start
We’ll honor our fallen and send them to God
We’ll pray for Justice although it seems odd

An eye for an eye is what it says in the book
We’ll find you Bin Laden we’ll search every nook
We’ll bring you to justice as mentioned before
We’ll give it to God you’ll be at his door

You’ll have no clue of what is in store

For when it is done and justice is served
We’ll set up a place for those who’re deserved
We’ll honor the fallen we’ll tell the story
Our beautiful our sacred our Precious Old Glory!
