Last Rabbit Hanging

Warning: May be inappropriate for my sisters. (now they will have to read on)

So I decided to have a shower. Not all that unusual, after all, it is December. I have lost a bit of weight and was admiring the results and, for the first time in years, I saw Mr Winkie in a relaxed state.

Flashback.

Slow crossfade with wibbly wobbly lines.

Outside
Daytime
High Street, Deal

A specialist game butcher’s shop. Hanging along the shop front are the carcasses of ducks, pheasants and rabbits interspersed with sprigs of rosemary and other herbs.

Close-up on a hanging rabbit. It is pale and thin, sagging from the hook.
Hmm, thinks our subject and moves on to do what he has to do.

Outside
Mid-day
Same place

Wednesday half day closing and the butcher’s shop is Shuttering like all the other shops in the street. All the produce that was hanging outside has been sold. All, that is, except one forlorn, wrinkly, unappetizing, very dead rabbit.

Sound over
fly buzzing.

Flash forward
Crossfade
Wibbly wobbly bits

My todger’s dangling there, to stupid to be mocking me but, all the same, wearing a very surly expression.
