Artist's Description

Main Light on the Isle of May at the Firth of Forth in Scotland. Built in 1816 by Robert Stevenson, grandfather of the Treasure island author. This light replaced the old beacon that used to warn ships. the new beacon used a oil lamp and clever system of lenses that were developed by Stevensons stepfather, Thomas Smith.
This Image was Taken using my Canon eos rebel t1si (500d) dslr shutter speed 1/125 and aperture f11 I then took the raw image and went +/- 1stop to make and hdr image -merged and tone mapped in photo matix and then adjusted in photo shop cs4. this was taken on 4th September 2010.
