Artist's Description

I used to be a tall, strong tree
The proudest that you’ll ever see
I offered shelter from the storm
I watched as each day was reborn

But one cold day I fell asleep
When I felt the grinning death’s creep
In my slumber, through blackest dreams
Struggling vainly to silent screams

I used to be a tall, strong tree
The proudest that you’ll ever see
But shelter I no longer share
My branches naked and laid bare.

I used to be a tree.
Now I am no more.
