Artist's Description

One of my heroes – a singer named FISH, who many years ago sang for a band called Marillion. He has been a solo artist since 1990 and I still credit him with saving my life in 1985. I was stumbling home from a bar one night in a deep depression – total despair.
I stepped on something that I recognized as a cassette tape.
Once I got home, I put the tape into the stereo. To my ears, magic happened.

Marillion’s “Misplaced Childhood” changed my life – saved my life.

Fish was the creative genius that seemed to narrate my life to that point. His words and vocals began to take me to a place of knowing that i wasn’t alone.

He came to San Francisco recently. His best CD in years, “13th Star” has again had a similar effect on my life. He is still my hero.

I don’t hand out that designation easily – not at all.
