I love green. If I was to say there was a colour that was “my” colour, it could only ever be green.
So when Tania Rose pondered why not many art works feature the colour green in this forum thread yesterday she got me thinking.
Why do I, who loves green so much rarely use it in my artworks? I really don’t know.
So I set myself a task for today. Create an artwork that uses green as the predominant colour. It was no easy task, and I found myself feeling increasingly uncomfortable with the brighter, richer greens that I tried using.
I finally settled for a not-so-green-but-still-green-enough shade that I felt suitably comfortable with.
It’s been an interesting project.
