Reclaiming The Stone

They’re back on my case again
For stealing The Stone of Scon
They say it was breaking the law
And caused the Crown too much pain
I took it out from under the Throne
And left it on my sisters’ kitchen floor
Now she has the rightful reign
Over all the Realm, hearth and home
So I wonder why the coppers are at my door
I just thought they had no right to claim
To rule all the World alone
That was never what the stone was for
It was stolen anyway that was their aim
They had used it for their swords to hone
To take life, liberty and what’s more
It was never theirs to use to tame
Those that had fair right to protect their own
It is now the claim of my fathers’ children for evermore
