Artist's Description

BEST VIEWED LARGE

4 image panoramic of Melbourne City skyline with the Brighton Beach bathing sheds in the foreground.

This was taken on a recent trip to Melbourne for a friends 40th Birthday. It was the AFL Grand Final the day before where Geelong had beaten St Kilda. As I was someone who used to live in Melbourne I do have lots of fond memories of the place, and yes some not so fond ones. The more gloomy aspect of Melbourne for me is the sense of grey on grey and on this day it certainly did it’s best to remind me of what I didn’t like about the place. The only glimmer of hope and colour is the bathing sheds that line the beach, painted in their bright colours.
