Barely a square inch of space on the side of a dead tree……..
….there might even be a baby snail or two?
I’m always amazed at nature….no matter what time of year (this was fall)….at what she puts out there that we can find.
This photo was taken in NE Kansas, USA, at a friend’s farm…I was off hiking with one of her dogs, Andrew the berry muncher, when I saw this beautiful spot. I have no idea what kind of tree this was all growing on but the majority of the trees in the area were Red Cedar, a common ‘problem’ tree in my area. I don’t often get priviledged to see life like this in a cedar dominated area.
Taken with my Olympus IR-500 pocket camera…the best camera (and I’ve had a few!) to ever use for macro.
