Artist's Description

Last stage of an American Dagger Moth caterpillar before it’ll make a crysallis that’ll be held in place by a lot of webbing inside a leaf.
This fellow was as long as my index finger…probably the largest I’d ever come across!
Found in the wooded area of Jackson Park of NE Kansas. 8/12/08
THose aren’t it’s eyes…they’re actual spots that are used to ‘intimidate’ predetors that might eat it.
