Would or Wood?

A whittler’s knife across an ancient pine.
CHIP-CHOP, SSSCRAPE andsnap.
His thumbs, coarse from his so-called work.
CHIP-CHOP, SSSCRAPE andsnap.
His crinkled, knolled eyes, distant, as he makes his masterpiece.
CHIP-CHOP, SSSCRAPE andsnap.
Hands gnarled from years bent, curledcarrying precious cargo.
CHIP-CHOP, SSSCRAPE andsnap.
Years of yearling sap flows through his veins.
CHIP-CHOP, SSSCRAPE andsnap.
Dirt and earth covered the old man like a second skin.
CHIP-CHOP, SSSCRAPE andsnap.
Toes dig deep into the soil as he ssstretchezzz his limbs.
CHIP-CHOP, SSSCRAPE andsnap.
Leathered, weathered and tanned skin is his husk.
CHIP-CHOP, SSSCRAPE andsnap.
Old muddled with new, hair turned color with each season lived.
CHIP-CHOP, SSSCRAPE andsnap.
Forest furred friends gathering thier winter’s feast near his feet.
CHIP-CHOP, SSSCRAPE andsnap.
Almost done, he shakes and scatters dust upon the shaded grass and moss.
CHIP-CHOP, SSSCRAPE andsnap.
Blade drops from tall heights and he smiles,
DONE!
