Torn Pages

It’s my page to turn
My turn to feel the grooves from the print.
And yet I read the page again pausing without an end.

Tongue wet to my touch
Touched, I start to turn and then pause again
Finger stuck to the page, pulling fibers away.

The book covers my face
I must face the number of my pages increase
And yet I read the page again pausing without an end.

Refusing to finish the thought
my thoughts are surrounded without words.
linger I must without the words I close the book— the end
