Not Forgotten

Artists are forgotten,
Painters are not there,
Authors are not writers,
Just people everywhere

Media is a frenzy,
Entertainment seems to rule,
They’ve taken away the beauty
Of our art,
The world is so cruel

They keep us hidden
in forbidden places,
they’ve taken away our identity,
they’ve erased our faces.

Remember our gifts,
Remember the touch,
Of our talents given,
With love in such.

Let the Artist draw,
Let the painter paint,
Let the author write what she saw,
No longer our voices faint
