Artist's Description

As much as I hate exposing myself without a mask, I’m attached to the representation of women more and I think it’s important to show woman as they are. This is just simply how I looked when I got up that morning, messy hair, daggy but practical spencer. I worry greatly about the representation of women and the perception of children as they grow watching ever more animated entertainment. Studies show how young boys are becoming a greater proportion of victims of eating disorders associated with young girls and that perceptions of beauty have adapted to the represented human, such as large breasts, eyes and large, muscular upper torso. Even as recently as the 70’s exposed breasts were everywhere but they were natural. I recently saw a picture of around 10 topless women from the 70’s and marvelled at the smallness of their breasts. These women were chosen for their looks so all had similar bodies and breasts despite being of different complexions. But their breasts were certainly under a C, not perky or round, just naturally sitting in a drop, as they do. I still registered the picture was sexist in it’s nature but the boobs astounded me. These were and are ‘boobs,’ now they’re art boobs, but the preferred art boob now seems to be a full C.
