irritated, then something to remember you by

i’ve got sand in my hair
the gritty pieces
irritating constantly
no rest
tired
belly finally full
no respite
stop spending my
money
it’s not fair
one day i’ll be free
let me go
don’t let me
fall
pen blue
cars sliding along
increase the cacophony
motorbike
singing
so busy
requests
weigh on shoulders
when i’m alone in a
hopeful mood it can
all be accomplished
but in the stark
hard harsh light
wears my hope away
sleep my life away
time gone
where does it go
i don’t know
it’s hopeless
what do i do then
where does it go
when will i be free
my brow creased
prematurely
like that matters
have my friends
sweeten my day
love to them
will you save me
want to just walk
away
drive away from
everything with my
sweet love in the
back, free for us to
laugh smile kiss hug
all days long when
we feel it
but the fabric of this
life too strong to be
torn i guess
hopeless endeavour
all of it worthless?
but is it?
all the world spins
on is $ it sucks
get me out of the
whorl the world
this world of superficialities
that can’t satisfy me
with possessions, things
or food
the comforts of before
mean nothing in the
face of work, uni, endless
demands for time
so that, really, is
the most precious
thing of all

and something to
remember you by

irritated, then something to remember you by
