warm lion

musing again
the lions mouth opens
yawn in blackness
run to our stars
so many to count you cant
fall into their blackness
their brightness
the velvet warmth
heartlessness of the blue black sky
miles away fly away run run
you can let it take you away
it’s okay no one will miss you
you need this coldness
you freeze from the outside in
same as on earth
no one notices
no one cares
ice flakes on your skin
flake off stab in
plunge you to icy waters
mouth fill with choking water
snakes its way down your throat to
your heart
kill
wrap you up
never thought you’d get so cold
devoid
of lots of things
they matter
not enough
to save you

take the blue away find me some green
grass grass find a daisy flower
buttercup
yellow bright shine
take it away
peel it back
sparkles bounce to the sun and bounce back
let it refract into your eye
sparkles across the water
your lake
the depths of your life
surface barely notices
a warmth spreads to the lower layers
layers so dark you don’t
dare to peel them back
it’s been years hasn’t it
it’s ok
i will catch those demons as they escape
and hold them tight
wrap you up in them again
you cant escape
you’re dead inside
whats the point

can you hear me inside
hear me
respond
reflexes don’t count don’t get you anywhere

i like that lion at the start
warm ruffles in his mane
sharp sharp teeth white glinting
afraid
everyones afraid somewhere inside
its ok
its ok

warm lion
