Sand…
I am an artist, designer, teacher and writer with a wide range of experience and training spanning more decades than I care to count.
I am fascinated by colour.
Some of the pieces available here began their life as chalk drawings, others as digital drawings. Some remain that way whilst others develop into various mixed media images.
Due to becoming disabled with fibromyalgia in 2007 the bulk of my art work is now digital and usually created on an iPhone or an iPad. Pieces often begin their life as photographs of the world around me, usually Liverpool or North Wales, and due to the amazing array of creative apps at my fingertips the image often transforms itself into something quite different. I work intuitively and attempt to let my subconscious work its magic on the colours and forms dancing across the screen.

Physical limitations mean that my online shops are rarely updated with any kind of regularity, and Redbubble has been more neglected than most but what seems to work for my collectors is keeping up to date with my work via social media. I post to my Flickr account fairly regularly (sand625) and my blog, and the lovely people who buy my art will request whatever piece they’re interested in via a message. Depending where you live has influenced the venue I upload to etc., but I intend to begin to use Redbubble as my main print on demand source. Digital files will also be available at some point this year (2014) via either my website or Etsy store. Sign up for blog updates to keep informed.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, I hope that you find something here that speaks to you. Have a blessed day and may your muse be with: embrace the creative soul within you and give it a way to express itself. Your life will be better if you do.
