Immeasurable Love

The love, the care, of Earth is immeasurable
like grains of sand on a beach the reach of
the love is uncountable, un-weighed, and yet very full
like deep oceans themselves that beaches love.

Such beautiful things as land has, hate
has no place existing among them at all.
A planetary fate might come too late
and, spurned by man’s error, might cause his fall.

To measure God’s eternal plan is oft’
unwise and unreal- pray we always
misjudge the future- because like the sand
that was coughed on the beach by Gaia it is surely unknowable.

The world won’t wait or willingly be debased.
Our kind would perish without her and, of course, God’s grace.

Artist's Description

An unconventional sonnet, which to me is an awesome form to write about Gaia in, because the sonnet is a poetic form traditionally used specifically for love… which is how we should think about the planet, I think.
