The wind whispers through my hair. It whips around streaking past my face with surprising gentleness. Secrets of the world pour into my heart, the wind never stops whispering. The leaves rustle beside my feet, swirling around, creating a barrier from all harm. A wolf howls, powerful and commanding. The pack replies, the alpha replies with enthusiasm. The cubs have arrived. New members of a very close family. The yelp with love and affection as the open their eyes. The wind whispers the secrets of the world; it pours it into their souls. Unknown to them the peace will not be kept. The sun rises over the mountains, spreading warmth over the valley. One of the pups shudder, the pack looks round in shock. The pup smiles at the beauty of the clearing as it draws its last ever breathe. His eyes close, ending the short life that it lived. The valley is filled with the cries of the pack, tears drop off the tree’s leaves as the rain starts falling. Nature can be harsh, nature can be kind. But the wind’s whisper told the pup not to worry, happiness will always be felt and the burning flame of life burned through the pack’s souls. The love will always be felt for that pup, but death was kind, he was happy. The pup will be buried to let its soul ripen the land with the fire in its soul that the wind created.
