Artist's Description

The Sydney docklands were where ships would bring goods in to build new colony in the early days of settlement. During the Depression it gained the nickname of “The Hungry Mile” cheap labour and even cheaper regard for lives.

Today the docklands are being relocated, to make way for Real Estate for the rich.

This photo shows on the left The Harbour control where they can see and control maritim movements on Sydney Harbour, also the white cruise BOat is one of the many that service the tourist trade on the harbour. The sun catches the cranes of the docks.
