Artist's Description

St Thomas Becket, Fairfield, Kent

Off the road and accessed by a causeway across the marsh this church existed since 1174 as a wattle and daub building and is only now encased in brick. Prior to the causeway being built it was frequently only reachable by boat. It is the smallest originally complete church in Kent. It has no electricity.

Still with a three decker pulpit and box pews with original Laudian altar rails to keep the dogs out!

5 exposure HDR pano from single RAW file shot on a Canon EOS1000D and processed in PS8.
