Artist's Description

Pigmented art marker, dip pen India Ink and pigmented micron felt tip pens with silverpoint details on acid free drawing paper (Strathmore Series 500), 24 × 18 inches

Micron pigmented ink fine line pens and pigment-based art markers on acid free drawing paper. ArchivalComplex orbits and locations create the composition of “Orbital Mechanics”. An Idea Cycles series drawing using a combination of completely freehand techniques juxtaposed with the very exact geometries of ruler, compass and drafting templates. Inspired by a number of phenomena in Physics that have similar visual patterns, especially scattering and diffraction. One can also imagine a Bohr atom rendering of electronic energy levels in complex atoms, or the orbits of tiny moons around a giant planet.
