A Thin Line Between Love & Hate

I love how loving you makes me feel!

Love, a word associated with hearts and kisses;

An idea upon which I base most of my wishes;

This love has a power undefinable,

Makes me feel joy indescribable

Until I may burst at the seams.

Your love is much more attractive than expensive things.

Money, cars and clothes I want;

Lust after those is like second nature,

But what I can’t seem to get on paper

Is how I tremble when I sense the vapor

From the breath on your lips, can you do me a favor

And again let me taste your kiss?

I need to feel what I did before,

Instead of this empty hollow when you walk out that door.

Can you just try to follow?

I’m on a long road with no end in sight.

If it were up to me you’d still love me tomorrow,

The way I knew that you did all those past nights.

Can’t you remember how sweet the times

When love was so pure and untainted?

Not a doubt in my mind,

My heart was yours for the taking;

But now that you’ve got it in chains,

I want it back ‘cause I’m hating

How you hurt and cause pain,

And when you tell me you love me I can tell that you’re faking.

Don’t do me like that please, because my heart’s sick and my soul can’t take it.

I hate how loving you makes me feel.
