I was born in upstate New York and lived there until I was 25. I then travelled extensively around the US and Europe. This helped my art a great deal. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to draw and paint. I went to a state school and received a BA in Fine Art in 1987. While Travelling in Europe I met and married my Australian husband, we have been together over 27 years now. In 1991 we migrated to Melbourne where we still live.
I have a small studio in a converted warehouse not far from my home. My art is very important to me because it helps to define who I am and where I belong. It helps to give me an identity. I am a painter and I enjoy that. I can draw and know that. Art is not my whole life, but it is a major part of it. Art is the part of my life that I openly share.

Am I good enough? Can I compete with others? Do I fit in? / When I look at Redbubble after 4 years of hosting groups, I see I still have such a…
