Artist's Description

This is the current Boorowa Fire Station of the NSW Fire Brigades. This station opened in 1999. It has two appliances a Rescue/Pumper which is a normal Fire truck with a full rescue compliment as they are primary rescue for the area. It also has a 4WD Tanker as it is in a rural area. Normally there is what we call a SEV unit which is a spare unit which is used to send to stations when their normal pumper goes off line for what ever reason. Boorowa is on the Lachlan Valley Way between Yass and Boorowa in South Central New South Wales. It has a population of about 3000 people.
