Art to me is an expression of your true self, your soul. When I create a portrait, I am tuning into the subject’s essence and personality, and connecting with who they are, not just how they look in the reference photo. Only in this way can I create art that really depicts a person’s interior as well as their exterior, thus portraying their essence as well as their physical appearance.
