I was born in Toronto Ontario Canada aka Upper Canada.

I inherited my love of photography from my mother who once had a thriving photo studio in St-Georges-de-Beauce, Québec. My entertainment as a young girl was sifting through the myriad of photos that my mother accumulated over the years. I remember the old “Black Magic” chocolate boxes that she stored them in. I can still smell the chocolate.

As I grew up and had children of my own, I spent time photographing and detailing their lives. I took art courses, as well as traditional folk crafts such as weaving and quilt making while living in Quebec. These trades I learned from the elders. I moved back to Toronto in the 80’s and enrolled in a photography course at George Brown College. After a few years I decided that I needed more knowledge on the art of photography. I enrolled in a certificate program at Humber College in Photographic Techniques which I’ve graduated with Honours in 2009.
