Four Seasons

Do you remember?
The suns warm and tempting kiss?
The clouds appraisal blessed upon our feet;
Water rising,
our reflection held in time,
Do you remember that summer you were mine?

In time
Hearts forgotten,
As autumn approaches through the vines,
Amber reds and golds,
Honeysuckle sneezes.
Left in the hands of time.
Lost summer breeze,
Captured in our hearts no more,
Autumn dawns upon us,
and I’m still waiting for your call.

Months go by
And winter’s surely here,
Sparkling snow flaked nights lay festive in our hearts.
A magic ignites a superficial kindness;
That’s sure to soon to depart.
laughter and joy run riot in the streets.
A warm fuzzy feeling with a hope that you can keep.

Before you can believe it,
Snow melts into pastures green,
Choir singers melt upon our window screens.
Flowers bloom
and once again true beauty reins;
And I start to remember our summer once again.
