This was one of those days when everyone showed up at the beach. I was originally going to go out surfing, but when I pulled into the parking lot I knew I was in trouble. Figuring that I would probably never get a wave, I decided to photograph the surfing action. This image was taken from the Huntington Beach pier, looking south toward Newport Beach. I used to surf near the power plant, so I’m pretty fond of this area. The framework was photographed in Fillmore, CA. There was some buildings being torn down, and some of the walls were exposed. I liked the texture, archived it, and thought it would be a good compliment to the surfing image.
