Hope

the rain is falling
falling all around
and falling with it
is an emotional down
the sadness of wetness
which covers the ground
brings worries of weakness
and a sorrowful frown

the trees are drooping
as if lost the will
the breeze has died
to a mugish still
I’m lost in a fog
a dripping hell
depression so thick
it’s stagnant in smell

all hope is not lost
a bird I hear sing
trying to fly home
with a failing wing
in its mouth
a worm it will bring
to its young with
starving bellies that sting

what determination is this
is it sent from above
so mighty it is
to help even a dove
its brilliance has filled me
as if I were its glove
this wonderful feeling
this magical love

He has helped me before
He has helped me to see
releasing my fears
and setting me free
He has cried with me now
depression will flee
leaving His reminder
that He still loves me

Hope

Artist's Description

We have all been there, some are still,
and to some it will come. The choice to remain
is yours to make, but my advice is, Don’t stay there….
It would be just wasted time. God has so much more
for you. Remember….He IS peace.
